Mental Health Technician / Driver

Location: High Focus Centers – Lansdale, PA

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation: $17.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience.

High Focus Centers, formerly Onward Behavioral Health, is a leading provider of outpatient behavioral healthcare throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. We offer evidence-based treatment for adolescents and adults experiencing mental health, substance use, and eating disorders in a compassionate, supportive environment.

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Mental Health Technician / Driver to join our team in Lansdale. In this role, you'll provide direct support to clients while helping ensure the safe and efficient operation of our outpatient programs. This position combines client care with transportation responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented behavioral healthcare setting.

Position Responsibilities

  • Safely transport clients to and from programming using company vehicles.
  • Monitor and supervise clients throughout the treatment day, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with clients while providing encouragement and support.
  • Reinforce treatment goals and support clients in following individualized treatment plans.
  • Observe client behaviors and promptly communicate concerns to the clinical team.
  • Assist clinicians and program staff with daily program operations.
  • Help orient new clients to the program and daily schedule.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate important updates to team members.
  • Assist during crisis situations by following established safety protocols.
  • Engage with clients during meals, recreational activities, and downtime to foster a positive therapeutic community.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment, including stocking supplies and supporting facility needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring new staff members as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to safely transport clients and meet company driving requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a behavioral healthcare environment.

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Previous experience working in a mental health, substance use, or behavioral healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with adolescents and/or adults in a therapeutic environment.
