Job Summary
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, performs direct care to patients in a restraint free environment to promote the recovery of patients. Also provides appropriate medical attention for patients requiring care in voluntary and involuntary situations, under the direction of the Registered Nurse to promote the recovery of patients.
Qualifications
Required:
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Within 30 days of hire, requires successful completion of Avade Training. Requires intense attention to ensure a safe environment. Proficiency in using computers and the ability to quickly gain competency in various specific hospital software. Ability to communicate with patients of a diverse age, populations, and multitude of cultural/ethnic backgrounds.
Preferred:
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting, inpatient mental health unit or any related experience (eg: residential setting)
- CPR Certification
