Member of Technical Staff - Prism

MTS, Developer  is responsible for building web application(Prism) that is positioned as face of Acme. The developer will work as a part of the Engineering Organization and contribute to a team that is building single pane of glass for infrastructure management . The team is based out of Bangalore, needs to collaborate with local and remote teams. The team is chartered with the responsibility to develop application (on perm and SAAS/cloud mode of deployment) that ease DataCenter Administrator’s job. As a developer, the responsibilities include architecture, design and development to support highly scalable Single Page Application and Rest API and along the way build a framework that can be leveraged by other teams at Acme.

Responsibilities

• Develop Multi tenant, n-tier Web applications using technologies Python/Flask/Django to support browser based applications. 
• Develop Enterprise grade applications using web application technologies such as RESTful web-services using HTTP and related IP based protocols. Support development of Web applications in Javascript using HTML5, CSS3.
• Evangelize and implement best-of-breed practices and technologies such as Iterative development, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Static Code Analysis.
• Bring expertise in Virtualization, Storage technologies.
• Develop innovative products through all phases of software development including conception, design, implementation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Management team to translate requirements into high-quality, timely deliverables to wow our users.
• Contribute as a strong, hands-on technical member in product development activities to develop clean, refactored and tested code that is extensible and highly reusable.
• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers in the team to develop and use effective mechanisms to ensure code quality.
• Work in DevOps model where Quality is everyone’s responsibility and there is no strict line between Dev & QA. Be open to contribute to testing automation efforts in team. 

Skills Required

• 4+ years of E2E web application development experience using Python/Go/Java. Experience in Python technology stack with Django, Flask etc would be desirable.
• Working knowledge in modern UI stack like backbone/Angular/React is desirable. 
• Alternatively, development experience with Java/Go based stack would be suitable for a candidate with strong web development skills for building Enterprise grade products
• Thorough understanding of web technologies (HTTP/S, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, XML, JSON).
• Experience with design and development of SOAP or RESTful web services would be a strong plus
• Hands on development experience with Virtualization, Docker Containers, Salt Stack, Salt Cloud, Puppet is a big plus
• Hands on development experience with TOSCA, Cloudify, AWS Cloudformation, OpenStack Heat is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of Linux or *UX environment
• Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT, build management tools, Static Code Analysis tools such as PEP8, and Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins
• Familiarity with Static code analysis, Test Driven Development, Unit testing frameworks
• Previous experience delivering products using Agile Methodology
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS, NOSQL & database design

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience developing applications.
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
