Job description

The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is primarily responsible for external medical stakeholder engagement, with the role focused on field-based scientific exchange. This includes the execution of medical-to-medical interactions and collaborative external medical projects, in alignment with the oncology medical strategy in Taiwan.

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

 1. Medical Scientific Communication

1.1 Exchange clinical data and medical information of key products and update disease area knowledge with external stakeholders. This includes disseminating relevant scientific updates and collecting clinical insights.

1.2 Establish and maintain professional relationship with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and exchange unbiased, evidence-based scientific information between KOLs and the company. 

1.3 Provide high-quality, accurate, balanced and medical information to customers and stakeholders in response to unsolicited requests. 

2. Medical and  Therapeutic Area-Related Activities  

2.1. Execute external medical initiatives such as medical advisory board meetings, Pfizer-sponsored scientific events.

2.2. Provide scientific support and collaborate with cross-functional teams or external stakeholders for activities related to therapeutic area tactics, education programs, or society events.

3. Medical Projects Implementation

3.1 Support the execution and follow-up of Pfizer-sponsored studies and academic research program with investigators and site staff to ensure smooth  implementation and timely status updates.

3.2 Facilitate scientific discussion with investigator(s) to explore opportunities for Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR) .

3.3 Facilitate Expanded Access Program (EAP) requests.  

REQUIRED SKILL SET

Technical Competencies

1. Strong scientific foundation with expertise in pharmaceutical or medical fields; clinical trial experience is a plus.

2. Solid scientific and clinical acumen with the ability to effectively present scientific data; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Performance-driven mindset with a strong ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

4. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

5. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

6. Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

7. Demonstrates learning agility and strong problem-solving capabilities.

Education

Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

Experience

1. 1.5 years of experience in clinical practice, scientific research, or the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

2. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance guidelines is preferred.
