JOB DESCRIPTION:

Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) – Abbott Diabetes Care

Location: Finland | Field-based with travel up to 70%

Abbott Diabetes Care is looking for an experienced and driven Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) to join our Nordic team. In this field-based role, you will serve as a trusted scientific partner to key stakeholders across the diabetes community, helping advance scientific exchange and supporting the adoption of innovative sensor-based glucose monitoring solutions.

What you'll do

As Medical Scientific Liaison, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and scientific societies across the Nordics.

  • Act as a scientific expert and trusted partner for Abbott Diabetes Care's portfolio and innovations.

  • Deliver high-quality scientific presentations, educational programs, advisory boards, and training activities.

  • Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, and Commercial teams to support strategic initiatives.

  • Monitor scientific developments, emerging evidence, and healthcare trends within diabetes and endocrinology.

  • Represent Abbott Diabetes Care at national and international scientific meetings and congresses.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who combines strong scientific expertise with outstanding relationship-building skills.

You likely have:

  • An advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology, or another relevant life science discipline.

  • Experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Scientific Liaison, Clinical Research, or another scientific field-facing role.

  • A strong understanding of evidence-based medicine, clinical research, and scientific communication.

  • Expertise in diabetes and a strong understanding of the diabetes therapeutic area are considered a significant advantage.

  • The ability to engage credibly with healthcare professionals and scientific leaders.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish

  • A willingness to travel extensively across the Nordic region.
