Job description

This position is located in Seoul and requires fluency in Korean, as it involves frequent communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

[Role description & typical accountabilities]

  • Geography or account based scientific experts in assigned territory covering an assigned therapeutic area that is responsible in the execution of the Medical Affairs Plan(s) for products/indications.
  • Possess extensive scientific expertise in their designated therapeutic areas and are responsible for providing crucial scientific support for AstraZeneca's assigned molecules to HCPs and KEEs and are instrumental in fostering scientific partnerships within major hospitals and institutions in their assigned territory.
  • Operates with in-depth understanding of the patient journey and its associated requirements within their territory bridging the gap between local and national product strategies.
  • Embed a comprehensive healthcare system understanding with a 360 view of the entire healthcare ecosystem within every responsible HCO, aiding in a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Acts as catalysts, with a deep understanding of the localized health system and its challenges, to gather insights and execute according to the medical strategic plans to deliver strategic, scalable & sustainable clinical practice transformations, enhancing access to equitable quality care for patients and enabling the adoption of our innovative medicines

  • Thorough knowledge or experience of the pharmaceutical industry and the area of field medical liaisons
  • Ability to interact and manage a range of internal & external stakeholders
  • Understanding of multiple aspects within Medical Affairs
  • Project management skill
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales and marketing

[Qualifications]

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or working toward a professional qualification (science related)
  • Language: Fluent in English communication
  • Work Experience: MSL experience at least 3 years is required and more than 5 years preferred, experience with Rare Disease is preferred
