Medical Receptionist

Location: Rochester Hills, MI

Schedule: Full‑time

Salary: $17.00-$20.00/hr.

Advanced Physical Therapy, a trusted provider in the Metro Detroit area for over 30 years, is seeking a professional, friendly, and organized Medical Receptionist to join our patient‑focused team. If you enjoy helping people, keeping a clinic running smoothly, and being the welcoming face patients rely on, this role is for you.

• Greet patients warmly and deliver excellent customer service
• Manage patient scheduling from first visit through discharge
• Answer phones promptly and professionally
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Collect, post, and process patient payments
• Handle incoming/outgoing correspondence (emails, faxes, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area
• Support clinical staff with daily administrative needs
• Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in a medical front office setting
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems (preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA
• Excellent organization, accuracy, and multitasking ability
• Positive attitude and professional appearance
