DUTIES:

  • Provide engineering support services on assigned SRMC Engineering Teams. Engineering support services include engineering analysis, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Process Flow Diagrams; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment Sizing/Calculations; Piping and Valve Specifications; ASME B&PVC Design and Evaluation including Pressure Protection Design; Material Handling Equipment; and Mechanical Procurement Requirements/Specifications/Data Sheets including Vendor Document Reviews.
  • Individual at times will be required to travel off Site to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other Engineering organizations.
  • Engineering Services will be provided using SRMC processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRMC

Education:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Experience/Skills:

  • Candidate must demonstrate five (5) years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
  • Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of ASME B31.3 code requirements.
  • Candidate demonstrating experience in 2D MicroStation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is preferred.
  • Candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field.

Work Hours:

  • A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRMC holidays.
  • Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Business Tools – understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
