General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Analyst in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The ideal candidate would be an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in structural FEA simulations including STOP, dynamic, and statics for broad range of applications. Candidate should be familiar with structural design and fabrication of lightweight structures and vibration testing of those systems. May function in an advisory or project leadership role providing direction to less experienced professional staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides design and structural analysis support for lasers, advanced sensors, nuclear and nuclear thermal propulsion, electronics, electric motors, battery systems, space payloads and satellite systems.
- Provides practical solutions and insight into problems related to high performance systems.
- Supports cross-functional teams to integrate various design elements into a cohesive product, ensuring alignment with project objectives and customer requirements.
- Addresses complex and difficult technical issues requiring highly creative approaches, drawing on advanced engineering concepts.
- Documents findings and communicates reports and technical presentations at engineering meetings and participates in program reviews.
- Provides technical communication within the company management and may represent the company as a technical contact to customers.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Works in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
