Job description
The Mechanical Engineering team works as part of an in-house multi-disciplinary technical unit that supplies design, analysis and consulting services for both internal and external customers. In this role, the Mechanical Engineer will interact with peers, consultants, outside vendors and clients, as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical systems, structures and components
  • Assist with modifications to existing equipment, systems, structures and components
  • Provide technical support
  • Assist with mechanical plans and technical quotes for systems, structures and components
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards related to mechanical systems, structures and components
  • Assist in responding to site-based requests for information, including analysis and recommendations
  • Prepare and present project documents including calculations, drawings, specifications and reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Need to have a Construction or Engineering Firm background.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • Experience with hydraulics, hoists and/or pneumatic systems is desirable
  • Demonstrated logical problem-solving skills, including conceptual and analytical skills

Compensation (from employer):
120000–130000 USD per year
