Responsibilities of the Mechanic Trainee include, but are not limited to:

• Will assist the Technicians with repairing, fabricating, installing and removing a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating industrial pumps as well as gear reducers and other related rotating equipment either in-house or in the field
• General shop duties
• Assist with upkeep
• Work overtime as needed

Qualifications of the Mechanic Trainee include, but are not limited to:

• Training is available
• Must be mechanically inclined
• A validated technical training course (diesel, industrial maintenance or commercial HVAC) is required
• Experience repairing rotating equipment (preferred)
• Ability to work in a demanding environment
• Ability to learn the trade quickly
• Ability to interact with customers/public in a professional and courteous manner
• Able to operate a forklift
• Background check, physical, and drug test required
• Acceptable driving record according to company guidelines required

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: 50 lb. unassisted lift and up to 100 lb. assisted lift capability required

Working Conditions: Power / mining / shop and shop environments

Training/Certifications: Diesel, industrial maintenance or commercial HVAC certification required

Shift Time/Overtime: 6:00am -2:30pm, Monday - Friday, On-call Rotation

Travel: Driving to customer sites

Education: High School Diploma
