AMETEK MRO B&S Aircraft Parts and Accessories is an FAA-certified Class I, II, and III Repair Station with an Unlimited Rating and is recognized as a leader in the repair and overhaul of starter generators, inverters, fuel systems, boost pumps, and related aircraft components. B&S serves business and general aviation customers, the U.S. Military, commercial airlines, and rotorcraft operators. The facility is also an authorized repair center for leading aircraft manufacturers, including Hawker Beechcraft, Cessna Aircraft, and Pilatus.

Position Summary:

The Materials Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting production and operational efficiency by managing the receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of materials and inventory throughout the facility. This position ensures inventory accuracy, maintains stock records, coordinates material movement, and supports both internal and external customer requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance and guidance to stockroom, warehouse, and inventory personnel as needed.
  • Maintain inventory accountability by tracking parts and materials across all designated storage locations.
  • Receive, inspect, count, and accurately record inventory transactions within company systems.
  • Determine and maintain proper storage methods, inventory identification, and stock locations based on inventory turnover and facility capabilities.
  • Verify inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory audits, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Store materials and inventory in an organized, accessible, and safe manner.
  • Label and identify inventory using tags, stamps, marking tools, or other approved methods.
  • Maintain records regarding inventory usage, movement, and handling equipment.
  • Inspect materials for damage or defects and communicate issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Create discrepancy reports and coordinate the return of damaged or rejected materials to vendors.
  • Process receiving documentation and maintain accurate filing and electronic records.
  • Deliver materials and inventory to internal departments in support of operational needs.
  • Expedite materials and inventory to support production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Generate and distribute daily receiving and inventory reports.
  • Cross-train and provide backup support for other inventory and materials functions as required.
  • Support department objectives through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Follow all company safety, security, and quality procedures.
  • Use equipment, tools, and materials responsibly and appropriately.
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Pack and unpack materials received into or shipped from inventory locations.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage and work areas.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and investigate inventory variances.
  • Respond to inventory and spare parts inquiries and prepare sales-related inventory quotations.
  • Pull, review, and verify traceability documentation for customer sales requests.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of inventory, stockroom, warehouse, receiving, or materials management experience.
  • Experience in aviation, manufacturing, aerospace, or a regulated environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, work independently, and collaborate across all organizational levels.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and shipping requirements is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated business judgment and ethical work practices.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Excellent attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.

Typical Working Conditions:

  • Work is primarily performed indoors within a warehouse, stockroom, and repair station environment.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures may occur when moving between buildings or during shipping and receiving activities.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and safety-toed footwear, is required in designated work areas.

Essential Physical Tasks:

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting, carrying, and manual handling of materials.
  • Regular use of hands for handling inventory, operating equipment, and completing documentation.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently or with approved lifting devices.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
