Material Handler

Job Summary**

Responsible for the accurate and efficient movement, handling, and storage of materials within the warehouse or distribution center, ensuring product integrity and timely delivery.

Job Responsibilities**

* Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies or damages.
* Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
* Accurately pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders according to customer specifications and shipping schedules.
* Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of freight to prevent damage during transit.
* Maintain accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and assisting with physical inventories.
* Organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
* Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or product discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
* Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including but not limited to, general housekeeping and product repackaging.

Job Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
* Proficiency in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) with valid certification preferred.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the workday.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying materials.
* Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
