For the further expansion of our team and the strengthening of our services, we are looking for an additional colleague for our Marine & Offshore division in Antwerp.

The challenge :

The Antwerp survey district is engaged in inspections and audits on board of new-build or ships in service, as well as material and equipment/component certification inspections at suppliers. Our activities are characterized by a strong international focus and a wide variety of projects and ship types. Through the technical expertise and strong customer orientation of our surveyors, we enhance the added value we provide to our clients. As a surveyor, you will independently survey vessels under construction and/or in operation, based on continuously evolving international standards and according to established procedures. You will verify new and existing materials or equipment/components against our Bureau Veritas Rules and International Regulations. You will be one of the key points of contact for our customers, assisting them to achieve results in compliance with the regulations. Depending on the workload, the role may also include inspections of materials and equipment/components, as well as, over time, audits according to international standards and conventions (ISM/ISPS/MLC/...).

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with a degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Sciences, Engineering or Industrial Sciences. You should have significant sailing experience or relevant experience within the technical aspect of shipmanagement. You are ambitious, flexible, comfortable in a highly dynamic environment, and possess excellent communication skills. You have the ability to immerse yourself in complex regulations and stay up to date with developments, enabling you to provide professional responses to customer inquiries. A strong command of Dutch, English and French, both verbal and written, is required. Knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
