STMicroelectronics Malta is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our Quality Team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work to resolve and eliminate production issues that impact plant productivity, customer deliveries, and product quality. 
  • Lead a team of process, production, and maintenance personnel in the preparation and delivery of Internal Incident Reports in a complete and timely manner. 
  • Develop and coordinate the execution of Root Cause Analysis, establish valid and timely Permanent Corrective Actions, and present the results in 8D reports to ST Malta Management.
  • Manage non-conforming material in accordance with quality standards, including the monitoring and driving of related metrics.
  • Ensure proper document control flow in DMS.
  • Drive and support quality initiatives aimed at improving processes and overall quality, using Six Sigma methodology and the DMAIC process.
  • Certify QC Operators.
  • Review QC rejects at raw line and finishing stages and define the appropriate disposition.

 

Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Have 5 years of experience in an Industrial Quality role.
  • Possess knowledge and practical experience in 8D reporting and methodology, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards is required. 
  • Experience in managing non-standard material is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry is considered an asset.
  • Have business-level English proficiency.
  • Be highly proficient in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
