The Opportunity

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will drive cost-effective manufacturing strategies by analyzing production processes, supply chain inputs, and product designs to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency. This role partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Suppliers to evaluate manufacturing alternatives, develop business cases, and support data-driven decisions that optimize product cost, quality, and delivery performance throughout the product lifecycle.

What You’ll Work On

  • Build, maintain, and refine cost models and simulations to support design decisions
  • Provide data-driven insights and design alternatives to engineering teams
  • Assist in identifying cost-reduction opportunities through modeling, benchmarking, and analysis
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to gather inputs for model development
  • Document, present, and communicate findings to support stakeholder decision-making
  • Support Cost Forensic activities, including value engineering, benchmarking, supplier workshops, negotiations, and Statements of Work
  • Track and report basic performance metrics related to cost modeling initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience (internships or co-ops applicable)
  • Experience with Automated - Assembly, Manufacturing or Packaging processes.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic project management and communication capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively under the direction of senior engineers or project leads

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing and managing RFPs, technical specifications, and requirements documentation.
  • Experience developing and managing Engineering Services Statements of Work
  • Exposure to cost modeling, value engineering, or cost analysis methodologies
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, manufacturing)
  • Familiarity with data analysis or simulation tools
  • Interest in supplier cost analysis, benchmarking, or negotiations
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders

The base pay for this position is

$61,300.00 – $122,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
