As a Manufacturing and Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and operational excellence of Mujin controllers and pendants.

Working closely with suppliers, operators, and engineering teams, you will drive manufacturing processes, support production activities, resolve technical issues, and maintain high quality standards throughout the product lifecycle. This role combines hands-on manufacturing support with continuous improvement initiatives to help deliver reliable products efficiently and at scale.

You will also serve as a technical point of contact for manufacturing and product-related issues, contributing to root cause investigations and long-term process improvements.

Responsibilities

    Process Development & Training

  • Create and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Train and support operators to ensure consistent and safe execution of manufacturing tasks.
  • Inventory & Material Management
  • Oversee raw material procurement and inventory control to support uninterrupted production.

  • Manufacturing Issue Resolution

  • Identify and resolve manufacturing process issues, classify deviations, and make rework decisions to minimize production downtime.

  • Internal Technical Support for Distributed Products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with finished products deployed to internal customers (e.g., Mujin US, Mujin Europe).
  • Act as a technical point of contact for product-related claims, failures, or malfunctions post-deployment.

Requirements

    Must
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar engineering discipline
  • Experience with embedded system involved product (ECU, audio devices)
  • Good understanding of Linux and experience using Linux.
  • Good understanding of electronics fundamentals.
  • Preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a testing or laboratory environment
  • PCB assembly or testing experience
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware or electromechanical systems
  • Language
  • English work proficiency, or
  • Japanese work proficiency with English reading and writing skills

Work Hours

8:45 - 17:45 (with a 60-minute break)

Salary

  • Based on experience and skills
