Manufacturing Engineer

Turbotec, a company of Mueller Industries located in Newton, NC, is actively hiring for the position of Manufacturing Engineer. Turbotec produces a diverse range of high-performance heat exchangers for virtually any space conditioning or refrigeration application for the geothermal, water heating, solar, heat recovery, and heat pump markets. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will assist in many areas of the plant and production.   About the Role Support plant operations and production efficiency Work across manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering functions Hands-on role with leadership responsibilities Key Responsibilities Lead maintenance and manufacturing technician teams Support production and troubleshoot shop floor issues Drive process improvements & cost reduction projects Develop new manufacturing methods, tooling, and materials Assist with prototype development for new/modified products Ensure quality and efficiency across product lines Provide technical support for heat exchangers & tubing systems Qualifications Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering (or related) OR equivalent experience (1–3+ years) Experience in: Manufacturing processes & fabrication Tooling and process improvement Industrial maintenance or engineering support Knowledge of HVAC / heat exchanger systems (preferred) Strong problem-solving and communication skills Work Environment On-site manufacturing setting Exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed Additional Info No certifications required No relocation assistance provided
