Manual Tester

RCG IT Philippines is in need of MANUAL TESTERS to be part of our growing team. We are looking for highly-skilled individuals who are amenable to work on night shift and Temporary Work From Home, Hybrid or RTO set-up. Our offices in the Philippines are located in Makati City and Mandaluyong City.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
• At least 5 years of working experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance
• Experience in manual/functional testing
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience in Web Application, API, and Mobile testing
• Has exposure to Agile methodology
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform manual/functional testing
• Develop/update test scripts for the new/affected application area(s)
• Execute test scripts and document test results
• Provide test data support to other components/process
• Escalate testing issues to the Test Manager
• Monitor progress of defects resolution and retest defects against agreed priorities with the Scrum team and product
• Perform test case peer reviews
• Conform to quality standards, and workflow process for testing activities
• Participate in product backlog grooming sessions, sprint planning, retrospective and other Agile cadence meetings as necessary
• Initiate root cause analysis discussions on production defect leakages
• Ensure that all test environments are available when needed and that any data prerequisites have been met
• Review User Stories/Epics
• Estimate story point during grooming sessions
