Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Explore new business opportunities of commercial banking products through different business networks and channels to achieve designated business targets.
• Cross-sell retail banking product to ME customers.
• Manage account portfolio and maintain close relationship with customers for business retention and referrals.
• Prepare credit proposals by negotiation of credit terms, pricing and collateral requirements in accordance with the bank’s guidelines.
• Identify and minimize credit risk within the portfolio through regular credit reviews.
• Monitor loan repayment of customers; chase and collect overdue payment.
• Perform annual review of high risk / unsuitable customers timely.
• Ensure compliance with account opening requirements on CDD and KYC.
• Review relevant MIS reports to identify any suspicious transactions timely.
• Comply with anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing controls in accordance with regulatory standards and CNCBI policies.
• Customer-Centricity - Establishes oneself as a trusted advisor by participating in customer’s decision-making process, as appropriate.

Requirements:

•    Preferably a Degree holder or equivalent in Business or related disciplines
•    Minimum 5 years of credit and marketing experience in commercial banking environment with proven record in new customer cultivation
•    Preferably possess / obtain Core or Professional level of qualification under the HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) on Credit Risk Management (CRM)
•    Strong analytical mind and proactive
•    Good interpersonal and people management skills
•    Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
