[What the role is]

Manager/ Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant SWDA ecosystem, aimed at supporting enterprises in their upskilling endeavours as an integral part of their business strategy.

This position involves enhancing awareness and adoption of SWDA messages and initiatives - particularly among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through:

1. Development and implementation of schemes and programmes to support enterprises in upskilling their employees; and
2. Strategic engagement with enterprises and intermediaries (such as trade associations and chambers, and larger enterprises in their capacity as industry leaders).

The role demands a proactive approach in understanding ground issues related to jobs and skills, developing relevant SWDA solutions, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and skills development in alignment with our organisation's mission, vision, and values.

[What you will be working on]

Strategy Development and Implementation

Formulate and implement actionable plans to cultivate a dynamic SWDA ecosystem that aids enterprises in their upskilling initiatives. Engage with enterprises and intermediaries to grasp on-the-ground challenges concerning jobs and skills, refining strategies to better motivate enterprises to invest in staff upskilling that is aligned to their business needs.

Solutioning

Contribute to development and implementation of schemes to support enterprises in the upskilling of their employees Aid in the development of intermediaries' capability and expertise to encourage and facilitate SWDA adoption by enterprises.

Competency: Problem Solving and Innovation; Project management

Enterprise Engagement

Account-manage intermediaries (e.g. larger enterprises) to boost SWDA awareness and adoption among SMEs. Promote SWDA through participation in events, forums, and other engagement platforms, targeting enterprises and relevant stakeholders.

Competency: Stakeholder Engagement and Management

Operations

Maintain an effective feedback loop with key stakeholders, ensuring timely reporting and data sharing to enhance process and program development.

[What we are looking for]

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in partnership management, stakeholder engagement, or a similar role, preferably within the SWDA ecosystem or related sectors. Those with no experience but possess relevant related competencies can apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Experience in program or project management, with a knack for identifying and solving complex problems.
  • Possess analytical and strategic thinking skills to devise practical solutions to tackle work issues
  • Possess project and resource management skills to handle concurrent work assignments, and deliver high quality-work within tight deadlines Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and thrive a fast-paced, dynamic work setting.
  • Deep understanding of the SWDA and Career Health initiatives, workforce development trends, and the challenges and opportunities within the Singapore job market.

Successful candidates will be offered a contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent tenure.
