Manager, Project and Program Management

Primary Purpose
Leads a portfolio of projects and establishes governance practices to ensure strategic alignment, financial accountability, and operational excellence across all initiatives within the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages staff comprised of Professionals or Supervisors with Professional direct reports that are responsible for project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure effective and timely execution of program objectives. Coordinates with many teams to address challenges and maintain alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversees all project financials, including budget, actuals, forecast and variance and collaborates on refining project estimates and budgets from start to finish.
• Oversees deliverables and effectively adapts and modifies plans based on changing conditions.
• Partners with key business leaders to ensure that all projects are in alignment with strategic goals and initiatives in the organization.
• Ensures that project/program coordination and tracking methodologies across several project efforts are running in a smooth and effective manner.
• Drives improvement to project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Frequent, independent driving to meetings, company locations, field locations and/or active incidents sites while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance with traffic laws is essential to this position and cannot reasonably be accomplished via alternative transportation.
