RN Manager, Nursing and Patient Care Services at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital for the Cardiac Medicine Telemetry Unit.  

Hours/Shift: Full Time, Days, on call required at times, weekends required at times.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a motivated and dedicated RN Manager, Nursing and Patient Care Services to oversee and guide the daily operations of one or more clinical areas within our nationally recognized healthcare system.This is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role where clinical expertise meets visionary leadership.

About the Role

As the Manager of Nursing and Patient Care Services, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth, effective, and compassionate delivery of care within your designated clinical areas. You’ll lead by example—modeling best practices, promoting collaboration, and driving performance aligned with Sentara’s mission of safety, quality, and patient-centered service.

You would be responsible for Patient Care Supervisors, 24/7 Cardiac Medicine Telemetry Unit, covering about 60+ FTEs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of assigned units or departments

  • Foster a high-performing nursing team through coaching, mentorship, and support

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

  • Collaborate with physicians, leaders, and staff to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

  • Promote professional development and a positive, inclusive work environment

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We’re looking for a clinical leader who’s ready to take the next step in their nursing career, someone who combines compassion with confidence and professionalism with presence.

Certification Required:

  • RN-Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree in Nursing

Experience Required:

  • 1 year Management  

  • 3 years Nursing

Experience Preferred:

  • Cardiac

  • Acute Care

  • Management in Healthcare Environment
