LTCE positions are funded by grants or other designated funds which are not part of the Air District’s ongoing general fund budget. LTCE positions are subject to individual employment contracts and are limited to the duration of their funding source. Regular employees have the right to apply for an LTCE position. However, LTCE positions are not subject to the terms of the Employee Association MOU, and LTCE employees serve on an at-will basis.&nbsp;</span></span><br><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: left; text-indent: 0"><strong style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: left; text-indent: 0"><u>About the Position</u></strong><p style="margin: 7.5pt 0 0"><span style="color: inherit">The Engineering Division evaluates permit applications and permit renewals for equipment and operations that emit air pollutants in the Air District’s jurisdiction. The division is responsible for other programs related to facilities with air quality permits, including - but not limited to - the emissions inventory and air toxics programs. Incumbents in this class make decisions which impact the daily operations and implementation of established procedures and policies of the related sections and solve problems requiring analyses of issues that may result in deviations from routine processes, new technology, and additional resources. Incumbents<br>make recommendations for program planning and directing, as well as organizing new and future resource needs.<br><br>The Manager II is distinguished from Senior Manager in that the latter has mid-level managerial responsibilities over multiple and more complex programs, sections, or functional areas.<br><br><strong>SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND/OR EXERCISED</strong><br>Supervision is provided by Senior Manager, Officer, or Director.
