In your new role you will:
- Act as central key counterpart, worldwide coordination of global transit management of all Infineon locations, including management and control of external transport Service Providers with the aim of continuously optimizing transport costs, quality, time and flexibility
- Elaborate and global coordination of individual, requirement-based transport and delivery concepts along Infineon's supply chain including implementation in close collaboration with the site logistics teams
- Drive and coordination of operational Innovations in the area global Transit Management
- Take responsibility for monitoring of global volume flows and ensuring adherence to process parameters such as, forwarder performance, transit times and costs
- Drive improvements in the transit network through organization and management of regular global business reviews with the transport Service Providers
- Advice to the business groups, regions and locations regarding transport solutions and process optimization
- Support preparations of transportation related RfQs with compilation of logistics specifications and applicable boundaries per site in close cooperation with Procurement
- Professionally evaluate offers of Service Providers for transport services / solutions in regular tenders in terms of workability and practicability
- Ensure the operational implementation of Service Provider changes at the different sites of Infineon for determined lanes
- Support Logistics projects to ensure appropriate consideration and implementation of Transit Management relevant aspects and processes
Your Profile
As a Manager Global Transit Management, you will commit yourself to the results of your own team and the company as a whole. Furthermore, you are able to quickly establish a successful cooperation. Lastly, you set yourself ambitious goals.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- University degree in Business Administration with focus on logistics an apprenticeship in the field of forwarding
- At least 5 years of professional experience within operations in forwarding business with a leading position in the area of air freight (import/export) closely collaborating with Shippers and Airlines
- Thoroughly understand the nature and background of challenging tasks for designing transport chains end-to-end, capable to fully analyze them accurately and convince with well-working, custom-made concepts
- Ability to draft, develop and implement tailor-made optimal transit solutions to cater for a Supply Chain of global corporations and are able to successfully ensure the complex management of air freight capacities
- Proficiency to identify, coordinate and implement solutions to problems that arise in the context of freight processing, and you are familiar with quality programs based on a “zero defect” approach
- Demonstrated professional persuasiveness in close cooperation with international Logistics expert teams and have the ability to communicate appreciatively, solve conflicts constructively and actively manage interfaces
- Intercultural competencies and sensitivity
- Fluent German and English
- Flexibility for business travels
