Support the Assistant Director and Senior Manager in the development and building of the South West CDC’s brand and image through positive mass media relations.Develop, implement and manage internal and external communications to promote CDC Programmes to achieve community goals whilst also ensuring compliances to CDC, Government and PA Rules and Regulations.
Deepen engagement with stakeholders to promote a more caring, inclusive and self-reliant community, in line with the ABC mission, where its people feel a strong sense of identity, emotional attachment, ownership and pride.
[What you will be working on]
Support the Assistant Director and Senior Manager as follows:
Corporate Communications
Develop and execute communications initiatives / strategy / campaigns ranging from media management to digital marketing, to strengthen the CDC’s branding and identity.
Craft and vet communication materials such as media releases, speeches, newsletters, Mayor’s soundbites, etc. to ensure proper positive and effective messaging.
Craft, prepare and coordinate media briefing materials such as talking points and presentation deck slides for spokespersons.
Manage CDC social media platforms, i.e. website and Facebook, to ensure up-to-date information and contents are hosted on the respective platforms.
Collate, analyse and review data and statistics for reporting purposes, to guide communication strategies and to measure effectiveness.
Carry out other daily operations. e.g., update management on daily South West CDC news coverage, alert relevant sections on feedback in the media and recommend follow-up action.
Stakeholder Management
Represent CDC as media liaison at CDC events/functions/meetings, manage and follow-up on media enquiries, feedbacks and requests from stakeholders.
Represent CDC as Community Relations Manager (CRM) at CCC Meetings and divisional events/functions, to support, strengthen and forge relationships with the divisions and grassroots organisations.

Covering duties when necessary.
Supervisory duties when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Assist and participate in cross PA Divisions and CDC Programmes and Initiatives
Minimum - At least 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in corporate communications or public relations.
Desired - At least 2 to 3 years of media relations experience is preferred; stakeholders’ engagement, marketing communications and / or journalism would be an added advantage.
Good communication skills with the ability to engage and interact at different levels. Meticulous and ability to multi-task and work independently.
