Job description

Role Specific Requirements

The Manager – Digital Design & BIM is a key member of the Design Excellence vertical of the Central Development Unit (CDU). CDU acts as a center of excellence, setting standards and driving consistency across complex development projects by providing tools and processes for best practice delivery. 

Design Excellence ensures projects embody “Qiddiya-ness” by creating standardized measures of design quality across the program.

Our Digital Design & Bim team defines and maintains our BIM standards, compliance to align digital delivery quality, driving new initiatives and continuous improvement.

The Manager supports and enables building and managing strategic relationships through establishing and maintaining critical tools, processes and frameworks to operate in.  

Core responsibilities

1.      Champions QIC's "Safety First" value, specifically confident in enacting ‘Stop Work’ authority, engage in relevant health/safety/wellbeing standards and behaviors. 

2.      Demonstrates positive workplace behaviors, in line with the Qiddiya Values, at all times. 

3.      Manages, coaches and mentors’ junior staff to successfully contribute to the department deliverables, behaviors, and safety culture. 

4.      Manage digital design processes, ensuring adherence to BIM standards and SGR methodology.

5.      Oversee a team of designers and BIM specialists, providing support and direction on daily activities.

6.      Implement digital twin concepts into projects, ensuring effective data integration and usage.

7.      Ensure compliance with BIM policies and validate delivery quality through regular checks.

8.      Generate reports on project progress and efficiency metrics, suggesting improvements based on data analysis.

9.      Engage with clients to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into digital design outputs.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or Computer Science, Project Management or relevant field of study.

A master’s degree would be an advantage.

Professional Certifications (if required)

Professional registration in respective discipline (or similar – i.e. Chartered Engineer) would be an advantage.

Experience

+7 years’ min relevant experience in Engineering design within developers or Contractors, consultants

Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing business requirements.

Effectively manages and prioritizes workload and delivers to tight deadlines.

Demonstrate Strong written and verbal skills in English.

Demonstrate proficiency in using BIM software as familiarity with digital twin concepts.

Managing a team to deliver goal achievement.

Maintain strict compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations to guarantee the success of each project.

Comply with QIC (Qiddiya Investment Company) governance requirements.

Knowledge of both relevant industry and local standards, codes and regulations.
