Manager Application Architecture

As a Legacy Modernization Technical Services Consultant, you will technically support the delivery of Legacy Modernization Site Survey assessments and migration projects using primarily the AMT toolset and .NET and/or Java. You will leverage Cloud technologies and DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization.

The role involves occasionally travelling onsite to clients, either to assess the current legacy environment to be migrated, or to support key events during the delivery of the legacy migration/modernization project. You will be supported by a team with many years of experience in legacy migration and modernization.

Responsabilities:

• Analyze the provided mainframe source code using AMT source code analysis tools and identify missing source code objects and write up the source code analysis findings in the Site Survey report.

• Attend onsite the Site Survey workshops, providing English-Japanese translation and assist in writing up in English the findings of the workshops and subsequent analysis in the Site Survey Current State report.

• Assist in a proof of translation of the source code using the AMT Transform toolsets.

• Provide translation of the Site Survey report from English to Japanese.

• Assist in the presentation of the Site Survey report to the Client in onsite workshops providing English-Japanese translation.

Skills and Experience

• Facilitate the delivery of the migrated sources and data, including the setup and configuration of the target environment.

• Investigate defects reported by the client in the migrated applications or environment configuration and propose the best course of action for resolution.

• Assist the client understanding the migrated environment by providing training and knowledge transfer.

• You have demonstrable proficiency in the critical steps of Mainframe Modernization projects e.g. you have been directly involved in several Mainframe mModernization projects and can speak to your role.

• You have proven experience in leading solution architectures, have led assessments and have been engaged in Mainframe Modernization deliveries.

• You are familiar with different Mainframe Modernization approaches such as Replatforming, Refactoring, Reimagine and more.

• You have an excellent background in mainframe (IBM z/OS or Unisys) platforms and languages. 

• You have experience of working with large global technology systems integrators and know how to navigate your way around their offerings, capabilities, accounts, and partners to manage delivery teams and PMs. 

• You have a good understanding of Cloud Technologies and understand how GenAI can impact Mainframe Modernization

• You can talk at the level of a technical engineer, right through to the C-suite. You have a good presence and can establish immediate credibility.  

• You have excellent technical awareness, combined with strong Advisory/Consulting skills. 

• Internally, you can lead a team, and you set an example as a leader, mentor, and trusted ambassador.
