Job description

The Manager is imposed with the following functions:

 

  1. Develop and submit annual strategic and operational plans to approval within his/her competence;
  2. Promote and enhance alumni relations development activity through the alumni network;
  3. Prepare and execute budgets for alumni relations activities of School; monitoring, approving and negotiating costs within approved budget;
  4. At the direction of the General Manager, develop corporate relations with external organizations in order to enhance students’ and graduates’ employment opportunities;
  5. Line up School`s relation with graduates and representatives of graduates’ groups such as alumni associations;
  6. Monitor School`s graduates’ employment;
  7. Ensure maintenance of clear and complete graduates’ database;
  8. Carry out events to create, maintain and develop School`s graduates’ network, as well as
  9. cooperation between the School and its graduates;
  10. Carry out consultations with the Career and Advising Center, promote School graduates through the Career and Advising Center;
  11. Provide support for Career Weeks of degree programs by identifying and inviting alumni speakers and companies;
  12. Provide necessary support to accreditation efforts of the school with respect to alumni and employer relations matters;
  13. Liaising/coordinating with employer representatives on matters related to internships and thesis/practicum projects;
  14. participation in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;
  15. timely and proper fulfillment of other orders of the Head of division and the University management within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers;
  16. observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents;
  17. is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;
  18. is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer;
  19. in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).

Education: Higher education, preferably with English as a language of instruction

 

Work experience: at least 1 year in relevant positions or fields

 

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;
  • knowledge of business ethics, business communication rules, telephone conversations;
  • knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • fluent in English, Kazakh, Russian
