We’re recruiting for Programme & Assistant Managers for our sKids Darfield Primary site.
- Programme Manager – 22.5 hours per week
- Assistant Programme Manager – Minimum 10 hours per week
Working Hours (Monday to Friday):
- Before School Care: 7:00am – 8:30am
- After School Care: 2:30pm – 6:00pm (availability from 2:30pm is essential)
About the Role
No two days are the same at sKids! You’ll be part of a team creating a safe, fun, and engaging space where children can thrive.
Depending on your role, you will:
- Deliver and support a variety of activities including arts & crafts, sports, games, cooking, and creative play
- Supervise and engage with children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment
- Use positive behaviour guidance to support children with different needs
- Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff
- Support or lead the day-to-day running of the programme (Programme Manager and Assistant Programme Manager roles), ensuring smooth operations from set-up through to pack-down
- (Leadership roles) Guide and support team members to deliver a high-quality programme

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and caring individuals who enjoy working with children. Successful applicant needs to be located locally in Darfield/ Rolleston.
You’ll bring:
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
- Reliable transport to sKids Darfield Primary site
- A positive, energetic, and can-do attitude
- Experience in childcare, education, coaching, camps, or similar
- Leadership or supervisory experience (for Programme Manager and Assistant Programme Manager roles)
- Confidence working with groups of children
- Applicants applying for Programme Manager and Assistant Programme Manager positions must be 20 years or older, in accordance with the Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004
