Primary Purpose
Leads the execution of major construction projects by defining scope, managing resources, and ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements while fostering collaboration across teams. Provides technical expertise and oversight for project schedules, quality control, and risk identification, ensuring construction activities align with design specifications and operational objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leads the execution of major construction projects by defining scope, managing resources, and ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements while fostering collaboration across teams. Provides technical expertise and oversight for project schedules, quality control, and risk identification, ensuring construction activities align with design specifications and operational objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads a defined major construction project from planning through close‑out; owns scope, schedule, cost baselines and change orders.
- Collaborates with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring services meet contract terms and timelines.
- Utilizes schedule management techniques to continuously monitor project progress and develop corrective actions to maintain scope and cost of projects.
- Tracks project progress, comparing current performance against scheduled milestones, and reports findings to senior management.
- Identifies potential project risks and collaborates with senior management to develop, implement and track effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensures a safe work environment through process and procedure adherence and safety metrics.
- Prepares and manages the approval of Work Order Authorization (WOA) with construction cost estimation. Monitors statement of work and estimated completion cost with authorized budget. Prepares WOA revision/reauthorization as needed.
- Tracks permitting dependencies and coordinates pre‑inspection readiness; resolves corrective actions quickly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
