Maintenance Technician- Kentwood, MI

KMG Prestige is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Kentwood, MI who enjoys new challenges, takes pride in their work, and is detail oriented. The ideal candidate will strive to create happy residents through providing superior customer service and timely service requests. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the overall maintenance of the property, service requests, apartment turns, and emergency on-call.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform maintenance requests and unit preparation timely, effectively and efficiently
• Develop an effective preventive maintenance program
• Maximize opportunity to reduce utility consumption
• Participate in annual budget preparation and contract / bid solicitation
• Have a working knowledge of and perform duties in the following areas: *Light electrical work *Maintenance equipment *Light plumbing work *Masonry *Carpentry *Painting / drywall *Appliances *Pool maintenance *HVAC *Irrigation systems *Boilers *Carpet / tile repair *Window / screen repair *Lock repair / replacement
• Understand and utilize any software programs required. (*Onesite, etc.)
• Participate in standby‐emergency (on‐call) coverage when applicable
• Adhere to and promote all safety procedures and regulations at all times
