Work hours:  Mon - Fri 8 hour days

Must have experience in the craft

 

Maintenance Tech / Lubrication Tech

 

 

Uses predictive and preventive maintenance software, applications, and data collection instruments to identify machines with possible problems.  Collects lubrication samples, performs visual inspections of machinery, calculates forcing frequencies for vibration analysis, and manages and maintains local predictive maintenance software databases.  Performs routine on-route operation of predictive and preventive maintenance data collection instruments.  Transfers predictive and preventive data between data collection instruments and host computer.  Plans and builds routes for predictive maintenance data collection.  Prepares and prints predetermined routine reports from machine condition assessment software.  Maintains and verifies physical test points and test point identification on predictive maintenance routes.

Specific Job Description

•  Follow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.

·      Read and understand equipment schematic drawings along with associated plans and specifications.

•  Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications and industry standards.

·         Monitor work progression to ensure compliance to codes & standards.

• Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications:

·   High School Diploma or GED

 

·   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Communication Skills – Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to understand information, ideas, direction and then can perform the task or project discussed. Also, to be able to ask questions to insure you understand the information given.

• Ability to perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, reach with arms, acsend/descend stairs, ladders, fixed ladders, walkways, walk, stand, stoop for long periods of time, enter tight congested areas to include awkard positions, sit, climb, balance, and be able to lift 50 lbs. single person – 80 lbs. two persons.

•  Ability to work extended hours in addition to normal shift in all weather and temperature extremes.

•  Vision adequate to perform all required tasks.

• Ability to work over 6 feet above the ground; must not be afraid of heights.
