Maintenance-Setup Lead

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: To coordinate the activities of maintenance and set-up efforts while maintaining the fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all duties listed below; 

•    Can recognize and anticipate potential machine mechanical and process issues.
•    Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance program while reacting to daily mechanical issues.
•    Assist in the development of preventative maintenance written and electronic programs to execute facility needs.
•    Provide support for Engineering, Process Engineering and production departments.
•    Actively participate and develop training for new equipment, machine repair, component rebuilds and corrective actions.
•    Must have a working knowledge of facility support equipment, HVAC, fire system and incoming utilities.
•    Enforce Silgan safety regulations and ensure a high standard in housekeeping.
•    Must have effective verbal and writing communication.
•    Work unsupervised and organize staff in a safe and efficient manner.
•    Ability to multitask and organize work thru priority lists.
•    Have good project managements skills.
•    Good computer skills: Microsoft Office, Emaint.  (AutoCad and Oracle a plus)
•    Must be willing and able to work off shifts and weekends.
•    Requires a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred: Related Engineering degree

EXPERIENCE:
Required: General knowledge of blow molding machinery and processing.
Preferred: Related Engineering degree desired or minimum of 10 years’ experience with advanced knowledge of industrial electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.  

SKILLS:
Required: Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; Strong technical background.  Practice a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.  Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.

Preferred
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (if applicable): This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.  Mechanical aptitude a must.
