White.</div><div style="text-align: center"><br></div><div style="text-align: center">The Louisiana State Museum’s collections and educational programs stimulate awareness and appreciation of our state’s rich and diverse history and culture.</div><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR</span><br style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><br style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.</span>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found <a href="https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=128650" target="_blank"><u>here</u></a>.<p style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><u><strong>Job Duties:</strong></u></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Performs daily operations and scheduled maintenance at E.D. White Museum HVAC systems to include lubrication, replacing and repairing service lines, drains, traps, bearings, filter replacements and cleaning. Removal and replacement of motors, valves, coils, service lines, and all hardware as needed. Checking the temperature and humidity throughout the museum complexes and keeping records.</li><li>Performs minor construction and building repairs to include installation, finishing, painting of sheetrock and paneling. Performs installation and repairs of wood, tile, marble, and slate floorings and walls. Completes minor repairs to doors, door frames, and windows, window frames, which includes removal, cutting, and installing glass panes.</li><li>Performs minor plumbing repairs and installations to include pipe threading, soldering, and glueing on water supply and wastewater systems. Performs repairs to all plumbing fixtures such as sink faucets, toilets, tube valves throughout the museum, including drain repair and stoppages and any other plumbing as needed.</li><li>Performs minor electrical maintenance of electrical systems to include installations and removal of conduit, electrical wiring, receptable and switch replacement. Performs removal and installation of wiring to HVAC system motors, condensers, fan, and blowers on change outs.</li><li>Performs all ground maintenance and upkeep of grounds. Cleans grounds, gardens, and water features; collect litter, debris, and trash. Mows, weed eats, edges, and blows grounds. Trims and prunes grounds.</li><li>Oversees outside contractors to ensure compliance with contracts, performance to industry standards, all state and municipal codes on all museum projects.</li><li>Performs and completes other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><br></p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><u><strong>Position-Specific Details:</strong></u></p><ul><li><strong style="font-weight: 700">Appointment Type:&nbsp;</strong>This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12-month period. **Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.**</li><li><strong style="font-weight: 700">Work Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>This is a part-time position that reports in-office.
