The Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) group has an opening for a Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Engineer. The MRO Engineer will support the overhaul and repair process for Fan and High Compressor hardware across Pratt & Whitney’s family of Military Engines at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City. The primary function of this position is to gain proficiency in supporting overhaul production and document performance of military engine hardware and systems. This position also acts as an onsite engineering liaison representing Pratt & Whitney in front of our military customers. This position is key to the global sustainment effort as it provides a direct engineering link with our domestic and foreign military customers.

What You Will Do

  • Work as an onsite Engineering representative of P&W supporting engine/hardware investigations and dispositions.
  • Monitor and trend hardware health for limit updates, the Component Improvement Program (CIP), and repair tasks activities.
  • Provide assistance to Customer Support Engineering (CSE) and base personnel with field support, quality issues and logistics planning.
  • Interact with external customers

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering obtained by start date.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Aerospace propulsion systems, MRO Operations, Programing proficiency in Python and/or Excel
    Visual Basic for Applications VBA.
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
  • Experience with communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
