This position is located in Unit 701 and reports directly to the Facility Maintenance Manager A. The incumbent will participate in appropriate DOTD structured training programs and attend all continuing education classes and conferences deemed necessary to facilitate the performance of required tasks. The incumbent must be self-motivated and able to perform duties many times with or without direct supervision and be knowledgeable enough to interpret unforeseen conditions as they may arise. Prepares necessary documents, approves leave request, completes daily work reports, and approves payroll. Interviews, selects, trains, and counsels staff.</p></li><li><p style="margin-top: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-bottom: 8pt">Provides supervision for minor electrical maintenance to include the following: replaces light fixtures; changes electrical receptacles; installs fans, window units, and heaters; installs electrical flush valves. All other related activities for installation of appliances.</p></li></ul><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt"><u>Position-Specific Details:</u></p><p style="margin: 15px 0; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">The incumbent is required to possess the following specialized knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as to maintain the following licensing and operate the following equipment:</p><ul style="padding-left: 2rem; margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 3pt; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><li>Candidates not possessing a Chauffer’s License (Class D) at the time of hire can be employed and will be notified in writing that documented proof of possession of the necessary permanent CDL must be provided as a condition of employment during the probationary period.</li><li>Operate a state owned vehicle, computer, surveying equipment, etc.</li><li>Perform duties in extreme weather conditions such as rain, cold, or heat</li><li>May be required to lift items up to 50 lbs</li></ul><p style="margin: 15px 0; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><strong style="font-weight: 700">Appointment Type: </strong><span style="color: rgba(149, 35, 8, 1)"><strong>This position will be filled by a current, permanent employee of DOTD.
