Maintenance Engineer

As a Maintenance Engineer at BCSS, you will play a key role in realizing our ambitions while building both the future of Vopak and your own.

Your Mission

As a Maintenance Engineer at BCSS, you will develop a 3-Year Maintenance Plan (3YMP) and Preventive Maintenance Program. You will also ensure maintenance optimization and continuous improvement as well as troubleshoot technical problems, equipment and system failures.

What will you be doing? 

• Responsible for developing the 3-year maintenance plan and consulted with the Maintenance Manager, Planner Maintenance and Supervisor Maintenance to get their input

• Responsible for determining and adjusting the required preventive maintenance for an asset: specifying what type of preventive maintenance must be performed on a regular basis, possible adjustments based on manufacturers’ instructions, legislation requirements, Vopak standard requirements and/or status of warranty

• Execute the Capex projects in line with applicable Vopak standards such as Management of Change (MOC) and Vopak Project Management (VPM)

• Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and / or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements

• Responsible for troubleshooting technical problems, equipment and system failures

• Responsible for supporting ad-hoc activities

Does this sound like you?

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering

• 3-5 years of experience in related field

• In depth knowledge of products, equipment in terminal 

• Project & maintenance experience

• Strong data analysis acumen and ability to transform findings into opportunities for improvement

• Good knowledge of maintenance, operations, safety and product knowledge

• Knowledge of safety, health and environment regulations and practices
