Job description

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to support the Maintenance and CAPEX Organization by improving asset reliability, developing maintenance strategies, and providing engineering expertise to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations.

The ideal candidate will also participate in a development program called Growing in Manufacturing, focused on learning through on-the-job experience though process, specialty and factory rotations.

Key Responsabilities

Reliability

  • Analyze equipment failures and identify root causes (RCA).
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to improve asset reliability.
  • Monitor equipment performance through KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, Availability).
  • Identify recurring failures and propose permanent technical solutions.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Develop and optimize preventive maintenance plans.
  • Introduce predictive maintenance techniques and condition monitoring.
  • Improve maintenance strategies based on equipment criticality.
  • Review maintenance procedures and standard job plans.

Engineering

  • Provide technical support to Maintenance Leader and CAPEX Leader.
  • Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
  • Prepare technical specifications for equipment modifications.
  • Review engineering solutions to improve maintainability and reliability.

Continuous Improvement in Maintenance

  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance.
  • Lead reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Standardize maintenance practices across the plant.
  • Promote best engineering practice

Capex support

  • Support design reviews for new equipment.
  • Participate in FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure maintainability requirements are considered during project execution.
  • Support technical acceptance and handover to Operations

Asset performance

  • Monitor asset health and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Analyze maintenance costs and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Support spare parts optimization.
  • Maintain technical documentation and engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Industrial, Automation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferably 1-3 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities is considered a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of MS OFFICE, CAD 2D/3D, Minitab (or similar)
  • Engineering mindset with strong problem-solving and continuous improvement attitude.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.

  • Job Level/Category in line with the applicable collective agreement.  
  • Gross annual salary no less than: € 30.000
  • The position is eligible for an individual or collective variable incentive based on the achievement of predetermined performance objectives
