We are currently seeking a Mainframe COBOL Developer - Atlanta, Georgia to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia (US-GA), United States (US).

This is a permanent, fulltime, salaried position with benefits.  Not open to C2C or C2H.

This position is Hybrid, requiring three days per week on-site at our client's office in Atlanta, Georgia

Day-to-day Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and maintain JCL scripts to manage batch processing and job scheduling
• Write, test, and debug COBOL programs and reports using established coding standards and best practices
• Create and execute test plans to ensure application functionality and quality
• Participate in code reviews and design of technical solutions
• Participate in Daily Standups and agile processing

Basic, Required Qualifications:

•  Minimum eight years’ experience in:
  • Analyzing system requests, performing system development and support for mainframe-based applications
  • Developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications that support critical business processes
  • Hands on development experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, TCO, IBM DFSORT, Endevour, SD/SF, Savrs, NDM, File Manager 

Other Desired Qualifications:

• Nice to have: CA7, Easytrive. MQ, ServiceNow
• Experience in:
  • Collaborating with business analysts and project managers to enhance the system and reporting for end users.
  • Writing, testing, and debugging COBOL programs and reports using established coding standards and best practices
  • Developing and maintaining JCL scripts to manage batch processing and job scheduling
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining DB2 databases to support application data needs
  • Participating in code reviews and design of technical solutions
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Strong technical, analytical and communication skills

Degree:  Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
