Role Overview: We are seeking multiple skilled MAG Welders who have experience in shipbuilding to join their team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of the vessels they manufacture. As a MAG Welder, you will be responsible for executing welding tasks in accordance with specifications and standards set by the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MAG welding on steel and other materials used in shipbuilding.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
  • Ensure weld quality meets company and industry standards.
  • Conduct welding operations while maintaining safety and efficiency.
  • Inspect welds for defects and make necessary corrections.
  • Collaborate with fabricators and other welders to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Maintain equipment and tools to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Follow safety guidelines to prevent workplace accidents.
  • Document work completed and report any discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a MAG Welder, preferably in the shipbuilding sector.
  • Certification in MIG/MAG welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of welding machinery and tools.
  • Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Good physical condition and stamina to work in various environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety standards and regulations.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or shifts if necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when required.
