Job description
SAR Academy, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational day school in Riverdale, NY, is now accepting resumes for Judaic Studies Head Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year in the Lower School (Grades 1 - 5).

Qualifications:
- Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to teach textual skills in an Ivrit b'Ivrit environment and to transmit a love of Torah and mitzvot
- Exhibits strong ability to build connections with young students and to develop an atmosphere of mutual respect and middot tovot
- Displaysstrong collaborative skills
- Understands principles of social, emotional and cognitive development
- Creative, flexible, and open-minded approach to teaching
- Demonstrates an ability to differentiate instruction within a heterogeneous classroom setting
