Job Description

Logistics Planner – Rockwell Automation Japan (RAJ)

Role Summary

As a Logistics Planner, you will be a key member of the logistics team, responsible for managing daily logistics operations in coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders. This role supports efficient inventory control, import/export operations, and trade compliance while ensuring high service levels and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory control activities, including stock adjustments and monitoring inventory accuracy
  • Handle goods receiving, shipments, and return processes
  • Coordinate with 3PL warehouse operators to manage performance and control logistics costs
  • Manage import and export operations in compliance with trade and customs regulations
  • Maintain close communication with customs brokers to ensure accurate documentation and smooth clearance
  • Coordinate with international freight forwarders to arrange transportation and deliveries
  • Drive productivity improvement initiatives and support continuous process optimization
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across functions to support business requirements
  • Ensure customer needs and delivery commitments are met in a timely and accurate manner

Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
