A Network Designer (ND) manages the vehicle transportation network from the terminal plants to the various markets.

Activity description

Flow Analyst Role:

The goal is to create/optimize the transportation network between terminal plants and customer countries. The destination point is a compound, which can be continental or maritime (port).

An analysis must be performed using various data to determine which modes of transport to use, at what frequencies, and whether or not it is necessary to issue a Transport RFQ.

An RFQ is a request for transport pricing from different carriers. The responses will be analyzed, and then a carrier/flow will be selected.

Country Flow Specialist: Local Carrier Flow Consultation:

A Network Designer (ND) is assigned to specific countries.

Within its market, it must define the vehicle transport network between:

- Local terminal plants and dealerships in the country

- Compounds and dealerships in the country

- Transport RFQs can be issued for the creation and optimization of local flows. The ND must know its market in order to help the plant flow analyst choose the right routes/passage points.
