What We're Looking For:

The Logistics Analyst I will serve as an operational and tactical support resource to ensure customer requirements are met. This resource will have global reach in coverage and scope and will provide support functions that are critical for the smooth delivery of transportation and logistics services worldwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares export documentation including shippers letter of instruction, commercial invoices, AES filing, as well as other destination specific documentation.
  • Coordinates and ensures compliance through (Letters of Credit, Letters of Export, Certificate of Conformance, etc.) when required.
  • Coordinates shipments through interaction with all necessary functions including local support services performed by carriers.
  • Responds to order inquiries from customer service, scheduling, sales and other internal/external customers.
  • Routes shipments and selects carrier based on company and customer service/cost requirements.
  • Secures rate quotes from partners, and determines best price/option available.
  • Traces shipments and obtains proof of delivery as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred Work Experience: 0 - 2 years of experience

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to effectively prioritize workload
  • Knowledge of export administration regulations
  • Thorough understanding of all carrier operations
  • Working understanding of domestic carrier documentation
  • Familiarity with various cost structures and practices by mode
  • Understanding of sales terms and methods of finance for international transactions
  • Knowledge of import documents and U.S. Customs regulations
  • Strong math skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and experience working with ERP systems is a plus
