LOC Quality Manager QP/RP

About the Role

This role is embedded in LOC (Local Operating Company) Quality CEE team in Budapest.

The purpose of the job is to ensure consistent implementation of sustainable Haleon Quality Management Systems, Haleon Standards, and local Authorities requirements of LOCs under MMW Hungary responsibility.

In this role you will act as E2E Quality Representative leading quality management review of process performance and product quality, the quality management system, and overall cultural plan in Hungary.

You will play a key part in safeguarding quality and compliance by identifying, escalating, and reporting any GxP-related non-compliance that could impact Logistic Service Providers, batch release, product quality, or post-marketing activities to the LOC Leadership Team and LOC HU Qualified Person Lead role

You will also help ensure that LOC quality activities are delivered in a cost-effective and efficient way, continuously improving quality, strengthening Quality Management, and fostering a right-first-time quality mindset across the organization.

This role is a 1 year fixed-term contract to cover for a paternity leave.

Role Responsibilities

  • Quality Representative (Qualified person/Responsible Person) responsible for all QMS related and operational quality activities and issues relating to the commercial business.

  • Ensure implementation of a robust, sustainable and effective Haleon Quality Management System, in line with GMP/GDP and any local legal and regulatory requirements at LOC level for all marketed products (medicinal products, medical devices, cosmetics, foods, other).

  • Monitor and review performance metrics against the targets

  • Manage product incident management and ensure timely and effective escalation of quality incidents and provide the necessary analysis to understand and escalate issues which have the potential to impact supply or Haleon’s reputation as a manufacturer of quality products.

  • Oversight all the operational quality activities managed by operations manager (logistic service provider quality oversight, batch management, repacking, inbound and outbound quality issues, recalls, inspection readiness….) and partner with LOC Quality Supply Chain to make sure all operations happen in the quality excellence and with cost discipline.

  • Ensure and strong business partnering for developing and implementing a cultural and engagement plan of the LOC organisation.

  • Acting as Qualified and Responsible Person with a main focus on:

- to supervise that each batch of medicinal products shall be manufactured and checked in line with the legislation in force and in accordance with the requirements set in the marketing authorization

- to ensure that the documentation kept and serving for the implementation of certain operations shall be up to date, and such documentation shall be preserved for one year after the expiry date of the batch, but for at least 5 years following the batch release. Upon request shall make available such documentation to the representatives of the inspection authorities.

- to order and carry out the necessary sampling required for the formal and analytical EU inspection of batch of the products, separating the counter-samples from reference samples

- to monitor the handling of retention samples and reference samples

- order and carry out formal and compliance inspections

- to propose release or rejection of incoming batches

- to approve any subcontracted activities which may have an impact on GMP/GDP

- to make decision on the final disposition of returned, rejected, recalled or falsified products

  • Complaint management

Basic Qualifications:

  • Academic degree in Pharmacy or Medicine

  • Eligibility to work in the country as QP person

  • Fluent in Hungarian & English

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to GMP/GDP 

  • Understanding of and experience in quality assurance systems particularly in the areas related to LOC Quality activities, eg: batch release, product incidents, artwork control, third party managements, etc)

  • Knowledge on effective quality documentation systems

  • Proven experience in Pharmaceutical or Consumer healthcare Quality Assurance, Compliance, Quality Control

  • Best in class problem solver, strong solution orientation, with a drive for urgency, a growth mindset, challenging status quo approach

  • Being bold in moving things forward

  • Team-collaborative mindset

  • Proven influence and impact skills across business levels and functions

Preferred:

  • Experience in LOC, manufacturing plant and/or any other central quality functions to ensure practicability of the quality systems & processes and sustainability in the market (operational quality, Regulatory, Compliance, Validation, Manufacturing, Technical, Distribution

  • Master or PhD and min. 2 years of experience in Quality organization
