Linux Engineer

Job Description

What will you do?
We are looking for an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to manage enterprise Linux environments, virtualization platforms, patching, vulnerability remediation, and Azure infrastructure services. The role requires strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills in mission-critical environments.
 

Responsibilities:
 

* Administer and maintain Linux operating systems including RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS etc

* Perform server installation, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

* Execute Linux patching and vulnerability remediation activities.

* Support Azure Linux Virtual Machines and infrastructure services.

* Monitor Linux servers, applications, and infrastructure performance.

* Manage user access, file systems, security settings, and system hardening.

* Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.

* Automate routine tasks using shell scripting and automation tools.

* Maintain operational documentation and technical procedures.

* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams.

* Participate in cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

* Manage virtualization environments using Nutanix AHV.

Experience, Education and other Required:

• * 2–4 years of Linux Administration experience.

  * Strong expertise in RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS etc.

  * Experience with Nutanix AHV

  * Experience in Linux patching and vulnerability remediation.

  * Basic Azure administration experience.

  * Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash).

  * Familiarity with monitoring and automation tools.

  * Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and ITIL processes.

  * Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  * Certifications preferred: RHCSA, RHCE, AZ-104, Nutanix NCP.
