Line Cook - Urbano Mexican Fare

Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation, including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

Basic Function/Scope:

The Prep Cook follows predetermined menus to prep the meals and food items for customers in batch or single orders, specializes in the preparation/cooking of cold food items, and may assist in the food preparation process. Ability to work nights and weekends.

• Prepare food items in bulk or to order.
• May assist in the food preparation process to speed up production.
• Prepare meals and food items to customer specifications as applicable.

• Follow all food handling procedures and regulations.
• Ensure proper food portions and quality of food items.
• Ability to follow and comply with recipes.
• Maintain a clear work area.

• Encourage repeat business by providing quality meals and food items.

• Eliminate waste wherever possible.
• Accurately record production amounts throughout the meal.
