Job description

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Trainer with strong technical expertise in lifting operations, industrial inspection, and compliance with international standards. The successful candidate will deliver professional training programs, supervise trainees, support inspection activities, and contribute to business development initiatives.

This position is suited for a trainer with extensive inspection knowledge and hands‑on industry experience.

 

Minimum Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering
  • Equivalent approved qualification.

 

Required Experience

  • 10–12 years of experience in Lifting / Construction / Elevator inspection and Training.

  • Strong knowledge of international lifting equipment codes and standards.

  • Full proficiency in inspection & training techniques and ability to select appropriate methods.

  • Experience in:

    • Reviewing and approving inspection procedures & training materials
    • Supervising trainers and training delivery
    • Verifying non‑conformities and approving corrective actions
    • Identifying business opportunities and coordinating with internal departments
    • Delivering high‑quality technical training
  • Strong skills in:

    • Report writing
    • Computer applications
    • English communication
  • Arabic language skills are an added advantage.

 

Additional Qualifications

 

QatarEnergy Requirements

  • QatarEnergy Approved Inspector
    • Minimum 3 years of inspection & certification experience after obtaining LEEA Level 3
  • QatarEnergy Approved Trainer
    • Minimum 3 years teaching experience in the lifting industry
    • Completed an internationally recognized Train‑the‑Trainer program

 

Discipline-Specific Requirements

1. LEEA Discipline

  • LEEA qualifications such as:
    Part 1 Entrance, Lifting Gear General, Lifting Machines Manual, Lifting Machines Power, etc.
  • Familiarity with inspection of all lifting equipment
  • Third Party Inspection experience is preferred

 

2. Electrical Discipline

  • In‑depth knowledge of:
    • BS 7671 – 17th Edition
    • BS 2381
  • Strong practical understanding of electrical safety & inspection requirements

 

3. Elevator Discipline

  • In‑depth knowledge of:
    • EN 81
    • EN 115
    • BS 2830
  • 5 years of in‑service elevator inspection experience is advantageous

 

4. Pressure Discipline

  • Detailed knowledge of:
    • PED, EN 764, EN 12959, EN 12953, EN 14570, API 510
  • Minimum 7 years experience in the inspection of pressure vessels and boilers

 

Additional Specialized Training 

  • Hazardous Areas Training (Zone II)
  • NDE / NDT certificates
  • H2S Awareness
  • Breathing Apparatus Training
  • Firefighting & basic safety courses
  • Offshore/Sea Survival
