Compensation: $35-$38.00/hour with benefits

Position Overview

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This role ensures nursing services are delivered in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures, to maintain the highest standard of resident care.

The LVN works closely with the Director of Nursing Services and Nurse Supervisors to support resident health, safety, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Care & Clinical Support

  • Provide direct nursing care and treatments in accordance with physician orders and care plans

  • Administer medications and monitor resident responses

  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing leadership and physicians as appropriate

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise and support nursing assistants during assigned shifts

  • Ensure nursing care is delivered safely, effectively, and compassionately

  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment among nursing staff

Compliance & Quality Care

  • Follow all federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Maintain infection control and resident safety standards

  • Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary communication

  • Support quality improvement and facility care initiatives

Qualifications

  • Current and active LVN license required

  • Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

  • Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care

  • Team-oriented mindset and strong clinical judgment
